Churches and other religious temples can all benefit from using banners to promote their facility. Church banners are meant to be placed outdoor to attract people to the church. For instance, new churches may want to hang up a banner to tell people what services they offer and the time their services begin and end. This is very important because this could be the very message that attract people to their church. Maybe some people have a hectic schedule and can make your church’s services but not the church they are currently going to. Every church is different, some churches like to begin their services very early and others in the afternoon. Here are some tips for designing your church banner:

  • Brainstorm how you want your banner to look like. This is actually the most important part in designing and effective banner because you want it to draw attention and look appealing to the eye. The last thing you want in a banner is for it to be a distraction and not cohesive.
  • You should include images or symbols to make your banner more personal. When people see you banner, they may be able to relate to it and this is what attracts people. When people can relate to something, they are more inclined to look more into it.
  • Use colors that are vibrant and work well together. You want to make your banner stand out but you don’t want it to be a distraction.
  • It very important to choose a font that is suitable for what you are promoting. You probably want to say away from very bold text for a church banner. Instead, try something softer and easier to read.
  • Determine the size you want your banner to be. In many cases, church banner are displayed outside and are fairly large. Be sure to measure the area you are buying the banner for before you place an order with your print company.
  • Be sure to include the name of your church as well as your logo to create an impression in people’s minds. That way when they see your logo they will remember your church.
  • Be sure to ask your print company to view a proof of your banner before they print your banner. You want to be make sure it looks the way you want it to look and there are no spelling errors. Make any necessary changes before your printing company puts your design into production.
